Spain aim to top Group A at the U21 EURO
Cristhian Mosquera, César Tárrega, Javi Guerra and Diego López target victory against Italy
Speaking at the Grimaldi Forum in Mónaco, Anil Murthy gave VCF MEDIA Radio his thoughts on Valencia CF's UEFA Champions League group.
"It was a good draw, because in the end the most important thing is that we are back in the Champions League again, competing at the highest level in Europe. That's the most important thing," said the club president.
"It's a difficult group, but we have the experience of playing at the highest level and we are going to give everything to get out of the group stage. We have to always have the goal of improving and progressing in this competition. If we go into the next stage, who knows how far we can go?"
He also commented that, for the club, a presence in the Champions League is hugely important.
"In terms of prestige, being amongst the top clubs in Europe should be something that is normal, after two years away. We need to continue in this competition, which is something that we can demand of our club every year."
"Now we have to focus on winning on Sunday against Mallorca. It is very important for the fans for us to start well again."
